My Story

A native of Bhutan, Jhuma has called Columbus home since 2012. Following a nearly two-decade-long stay in a Nepalese refugee camp, Jhuma’s own journey provides a strong foundation in compassion and understanding for new Americans, serving him in his role as a Refugee Resettlement Case Manager for Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS). Equipped with a Masters of Social Work from OSU, Jhuma aspires to add “Doctor” to his name as he continues his education and inspires others. Hear Jhuma’s story below.
