My Story

Columbus has truly become home for Murtadha. Born in Iraq, Murtadha’s journey to Central Ohio includes stops in 9 countries. A civil engineer by trade, Murtadha now supports other refugees through volunteer opportunities with Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS) while working towards his next dream of becoming an architect. Hear Murtadha’s story below.
