I think that people just overlook this city but we have so many designers, and models, and artists, and photographers - all those people within the fashion industry that are really fighting for the notoriety that New York and LA has. With the Columbus Fashion Council, we're giving them that platform to do so.

My Story

Keira Chatman is a dynamic entrepreneur and community advocate from Columbus, with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and Theatre Arts from The University of Akron. After a successful career in the corporate fashion industry with luxury brands like Chanel and Roberto Cavalli, she launched her online vintage boutique, BklynQueens, during the Great Recession. Keira later transitioned to real estate with Coldwell Banker Realty, where she excels in client relations and negotiations. In 2020, she founded the Bythepeople t-shirt line to celebrate community resilience and served as Director of Operations for The African American Male Wellness Agency, organizing a major 5K event to promote health awareness. Currently, she is the Founder and CEO of Legacy House 614, an event space and Airbnb, and serves as President of the Columbus Urban League Young Professionals, dedicating her efforts to uplifting young entrepreneurs and supporting small businesses in her community.
